Didn't get the ribs it was an hour wait so I got the fried haddock which I'm so glad I did...it was the biggest best piece of cooked fish I have had in a very long time. They were out of collards so i got the green beans which were also good. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. The banana pudding was good too. This place is has stole my heart. The staff was great even though they were busy. Great job y'all!
The food at the Genessee location is great. The ribs are tender and tasty. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside, tender and well flavored on the inside. The mac & cheese is creamy and good. I liked the greens as well. I’ll continue to be a repeat customer and share my experiences.
This is the bbq that I’ve been missing! I was visiting home for my yearly visit and I had to have some bbq from home. I currently live in metro Atlanta and haven’t THIS type of bbq since living there! I was explaining to lady at the counter that you never or rarely get bbq with sauce on it already in ATL and trust, there is a difference!!! I had to come back a 2nd day to bring some back with me on my flight for the rest of my family. The sauce is awesome!! I wish I could have some sent to me on weekly basis!! My friends here in ATL loved it too!!
I’ve had them quite a few times and I’m not sure what they put in their food but it is very delicious and almost addictive. I usually get the ribs and they taste like how my parents used to make them. Their food just tastes homemade, like very traditional soul food. One of the best!
Sooooo good! I'm a rib eater I only eat them off the charcoal grill and these did not disappoint. I ordered from them thru Grubhub and I got my food within the hour. The ribs were so tender, just enough BBQ sauce(which was delicious) it was simply great BBQ. The sides were good, my only issue is that they don't offer cornbread which is must have with soulfood. Without the cornbread it was still a 5star meal. I will order again and I will recommend.

Old soul bbq, out of this world. You can not go wrong for the best bbq in town. The flavor and taste makes it well, well worth it when you have a tast for really excellent BBQ!
